 Umbut Rotan

      One of the unique foods in central kalimantan is umbut rotan. Umbut rotan is a local food from central kaliamantan. In dayaknis this food called uwut nag'et or juhu singkah. Umbut rotan made from young rattan, baung fish, and sour eggplant, this food has delicious, sweet, and original taste of rattan. Umbut rotan very familiar in central kalimantan, people usually get rattan in woods without plant it before. When you want to make a bowl of umbut rotan, what should you do just clean the young rattan before and cut them into small pieces, then cook it with baung fish and sour eggplant.

Dayaknis : Local language of dayak etnis.

Woods : Has same meanig with forest.

Arboretum

      One of the best places to visit in central kalimantan is arboretum. Arboretum is a place for observation orangutan. This place built for observation orangutan and save them from poachers. Arboretum is not just as a place for observation orangutan, but also for observation plants. Arboretum was built in 1988 years ago by Palangkaraya government. Location of Arboretum is in Km 28. People can go to there by bus, car, motorcycle, etc. Usually people visited that place for see orangutan and have picnic with their family. That place full with trees and wood bridge. It makes the situation being enjoyable and very quiet. When i there my feel really relaxed. In conclusion, in arboretum we not just can have picnic and relax there, but also can study about orangutan.
